A new member to the Alumni squad for season 2008-09, Lloydy�s start to the campaign has been interrupted largely by injury. Adding to his frustration, this year sees Alumni with its largest and most competitive squad making opportunities harder to come by.

A player who is flexible enough to play in both defence and midfield, coupled with his evident commitment to the club and training saw him rewarded with the captain�s armband for Alumni�s 2nd XI inaugural tie in The Northern Cup - a fixture in which Alumni were victorious and his performance was singled out by the opposition manager for special praise.

Favourite Alumni Moment?
Matt diving three foot in the air screaming like a girl in the northern cup and rolling around three times on the floor. Caused a rucas with his antics which included a ball being kicked from the supporters into his ribs. For the remainder of the game said supporters let out a big girly scream every time he touched the ball.

Favourite Moment in Football?
Chatting to me blue nose mate while 3 nil down in Istanbul calling him a nob ed then running up the stairs to sing You-ll never walk alone at half time to then phone him back a while later to shout howd ya like that now then ya daft c***!
